Canvas Holidays is an award-winning company based in Dunfermline, offering Camping holidays across Europe. Established for more than 56 years, the company is currently going through a significant period of growth as part of the larger Vacanceselect Group, with the headoffice based in France.
In our office in Dunfermline you will have a lot of contact with your European colleagues in Alkmaar (the Netherlands), and Montpellier (France). Your direct managers are the Accounting Manager and the Finance Coordinator, both based in Alkmaar, the Netherlands. Furthermore you will be working together with another finance colleague in Dunfermline.
- Debtor (customers) process: receivals, reminders and refunds
- Supplier payments
- Bank payments
- Memo journals
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Preparation of the monthly packages – forms to be submitted to the Group
- Review of the main BS and PL items for reasonableness and accuracy
- Participation in the audits and other occasional checks
- Preparation and submission of the UK statistics forms and other required documents (P11D, PAYE, etc.)
- Preparation of the annual reports based on UK GAAP (with the help from Dutch office)
- Preparation and submission of VAT and CIT returns
- Other local UK office administration and office related work
- Dealing with arising questions and issues (with the help from Dutch office)
